The Chairman of Ferrari, Luca di Montezemolo confirmed that the sports car maker will release its brand new limited edition Enzy hybrid by the end of this year. Internally the project is codenamed as F70 and it is expected to come powered by a massive 7.3liter 12 powerplant, which will be coupled with a new KERS system. The engine will team up with an electric motor, which generates 120hp, and together they will churn out a mind boggling 920hp.

The company’s year-end financial statement that came out last week contained conformation about this widely speculated hybrid super car.

Montezemolo said, “We have a complete new model range brimming with technological innovations, and which deliver significant reductions in fuel consumption and emissions, down by 30 percent on average. At the end of the year, we’ll also be unveiling the new Enzo, a limited-series model and our first ever hybrid car.”

This new super hybrid will directly lock horns with the likes of Jaguar C-X75, which costs over $1.2 million and Porsche 918 Spyder Hybrid, which comes with a price tag of $600,000. Looking at the breathtaking power Enzo hybrid will generate we shouldn’t be surprised if it releases with an even steeper price tag.
