Fisker Facing Hiccups Delivering the Hybrids

Posted on 25. Jan, 2012 by in News

Fisker is facing some serious issues in delivering even their first hybrid model to a customer. It makes us doubt if they will be able to deliver the second one or not. Due to delay in the delivery, the carmaker is losing out on buyers’ big time.

The customers who booked the hybrid vehicles are backing off with their $5000 booking advance they paid to the company. The hybrid in question costs $103,000 and is being touted as the world’s first-ever high end luxury sedan hybrid. As per reports, some 1500 units of the vehicles are either stuck in sea, at customs or somewhere else.

The company is also facing issues related to cash flow and strained relationships with the suppliers. Overall things are not looking tidy for the company and it seems to be failing to leverage the hype created by its maiden luxury sedan hybrid.
