Toyota to launch Hybrid Avalon

TMC has announced that it will launch a gas-electric hybrid edition of the Avalon sedan. With adequate room for five passengers, this car will approximately get 39 mpg on the freeways and 40 mpg on the highways.

The standard edition of Avalon with 3.5L V6 engine will churn out 268hp and achieve a mileage of 31 mpg on freeway and 25 mpg combined. In contrast, the hybrid car features 2 electric motors, 200hp, and gasoline engine.

The fuel economy plays a significant role in evaluating choice of vehicles by customers. Normally, customers change their choice to midsize vehicles due to the efficient mileage achieved by this segment of cars. The hybrid version of Avalon runs with a combination of electricity and gas. It can travel for 1 mile with 25 mpg only on electric source.

Toyota holds the topmost position in the market for hybrid cars. The hybrid model with stunning design and advanced technology assures dynamic performance and high comfort levels to its customers. The company is expecting higher sales with the introduction of the hybrid version. This new model will be produced in US and will be more efficient than the present model, which costs $33,195.
