Toyota TS030 Hybrid Ready for Le Mans

The German automaker, Audi is quite sure that R18 e-tron hybrid LMP1 Quattro will win at Le Mans 24 Hours this year. For the last few years, Audi has been inventing most innovative machines and won several competitions.

But, this time, they have a really tough competitor- none other than Toyota’s TS030, representing the return of company to the world’s most prestigious endurance race filed.

TS030 is a hybrid car that is expected to bring Audi down. The automaker has designed a sophisticated system for the new machine and moreover, they have got a lineup of great drivers for Le Mans.

The hybrid power-train has been developed by the brand’s motorsport subsidiary at Higashifuji, Japan and its chassis has been manufactured by TMG, Germany, which also provides the on-track personnel.

Testing of the power-trains, performance, and speed is going under different tracks, including Magny-Cours (France), Paul Ricard (France), MotorLand Aragon (Spain), and Le Mans as well.

As for the drivers, the number 8 car features endurance winner Anthony Davidson from Great Britain, Stéphane Sarrazin of Le Mans pole position winner, and Switzerland’s Formula 1 young driver Sébastien Buemi. In the number 7 car, 2-time winner Alex Wurz of Australia, winner of Sebring 12 Hours, Nicolas Lapierre from France, and ex-formula 1 driver from Japan, Kazuki Nakajima are predicted to participate.
